Description:
The Truck/Auto Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and focus on maintaining our fleet of yellow iron, forklifts, work trucks and other mobile equipment in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position and will require a keen ability to navigate and repair numerous pieces of equipment simultaneously. Work will be in a heavy industrial environment, and the Mechanic must be comfortable working in conditions that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. We are seeking a highly responsible individual that thrives in an autonomous workplace. The Mechanic will be supplied with specialized company tools while a personal toolbox is welcome.
Duties include:
- Maintaining the operation of our wide array of mobile equipment.
- Performing routine/preventative maintenance on our mobile equipment.
- Ensuring peak operation of rolling stock through a required familiarity with mechanics.
- Managing detailed maintenance records including:
- Communication with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Coordinator.
- Timely and thorough completion of work orders.
- Requesting, receiving and keeping inventory of parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair unscheduled issues on rolling stock.
- Ability to take on or assist with other team members on general maintenance tasks when needed.
Requirements:
- High school degree.
- At least 5 years of fast paced mobile equipment/auto experience.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Possess adequate time management.
- Exceptional mechanical skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical – 12v, 24v vehicles.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to learn new equipment as we grow.
- Experience and confidence in maintaining the equipment efficiently.
- Willingness to work weekends depends on workload.

Salary:
- $28 - $32 an hour based on experience.
